Student Bank Accounts for PGCE Trainees

Hi all,
I'm about to start a PGCE course to become a primary teacher and was wondering if anyone knew of any student bank accounts that are available to me? I can't seem to find anything for a one year course, everything I have seen appears to require a 'minimum two year' period.
Although I don't need an overdraft of any kind (I'm fairly savvy) it would be nice to know if there were any perks available to me, for example a free NUS card or railcard (I am looking at getting the train to Derby Uni and, as I am 26, the relevant railcard does not allow me to get any discount at my time of travel - but I could get a 16-25 railcard with proof of a Uni course which would).
Does anyone have any experience on this matter? Thanks in advance.

You'll have to do a bit of homework dependant on which banks you're willing to consider and which perks, if any, you'd like to receive. But bear in mind some banks allow 1-year courses if it's for postgrad study, and if you're a recent graduate you may be eligible for a graduate account instead?: )0
