I'm just switched part of my portfolio to
Vanguard FTSE Developed World ex-UK Equity Index Accumulation.
In its top 10 sectors, at #2 with 7.51% of its holding is "Pharmaceuticals,Biotechnology & Marijuana Producers" .

It may be something that others have already seen, but its the first time that I've ever come across it.

For tax purposes, do I have to register myself as a drug dealer:A:beer:

Do you also hold shares in any pharmaceutical companies? I’m pretty sure they also do drugs

Are you sure your top 10 data is correct? Even the biggest holdings Microsoft, Apple and Amazon are only around 2% of a World index?

Healthcare -> 12.03%
-> Pharmaceuticals,Biotechnology & Marijuana Producers 7.51%
--> Pharmaceuticals 6.48
--> I don't see any Marijuana Producers subsection

I would be interested to know if UK domiciled funds are allowed to invest in products that are illegal in the country, but legal elsewhere.

Aah yes this is just the sector categories rather than the top 10 holdings. Nothing to worry about.

I've corrected my OP to show that its sectors, rather than holdings.
I'm aware of how large the legalised marijuana trade has the potential to become in the US, as and when States legalise its use, but this was the first time that I'd seen Marijuana listed in an investible sector.


It would have been more of a concern if HL were listing P.Escobar Inc, Walter White LLP and Hong Kong Phooey Chasing The Dragon Class A:D

Given the Funds geographical bias, not UK manufacturers

I didn't realise that the UK is a market leader !
