You can't amend your defence0

Hey All... typically how long is the wait for a decision on this? I submitted my defence at the end of July and it's marked as received on the MCOL website but still no word of a verdict???0
-
There won't be a verdict until after you have filed your Directions Questionnaire, and after the case has been transferred to your local court, and after you have filed a Witness Statement and evidence, and after a hearing has taken place.
Please now go and re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread to better understand the game you are now playing.0 -
ah OK thanks, I don't believe I have received a Directions questionnaire yet? Is it usual to be waiting over a month for this to be issued?0

Re-read the letter that the CCBC sent you - the one acknowledging receipt of your defence.Drifterman210 wrote: »ah OK thanks, I don't believe I have received a Directions questionnaire yet? Is it usual to be waiting over a month for this to be issued?
It tells you that the Claimant has 28 days to decide whether to continue, doesn't it?0 -
Oh dear, this will end in tears if you don't spend your time reading up on what to do when. In 2 months on this forum since July, you didn't read enough to tell you that you have to go to a hearing? You just bunged in a defence and thought it was some sort of auto-appeal?
No, it's a court case.
You really need to read bargepole's Court Procedures thread that's linked in the NEWBIES thread underneath the red heading IMPORTANT - KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN.
Don't be one of those clueless people who don't even realise they have to file & serve a witness statement and evidence, in good time before a hearing in front of your local Judge.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
