    We are an adult and teen and ours is 37 a month on a water meter.
    :eek:
    Out of curiosity which water company are you with.
    Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

    I pay £32 for 2 adults and a small one. We're on a meter. According to my bill we use less than average!

    Average annual consumption per person in UK is around 55 cubic metres.m3

    So 110m3 for two

    United Utilities 2019/20 water charges are here:
    https://www.unitedutilities.com/my-account/your-bill/our-household-charges-20192020/

    So for 110m3 water will cost £211 (110 x £1.922)

    Sewerage will cost £140 (110 x £1.269)

    Standing charges are £38

    Total = £389

    In addition you could be charged an additional £73 or £32 for surface water drainage.

    So if you pay £37 a month for 12 months(some water companies use a 10 month cycle in a year. You have around average costs

    For clarity probably the best way to answer this question is to quote actual consumption figures.

    My wife and I (both retired pensioners) use on average 70 cu mtrs pa. On our metered Utd Utilities supply we pay a total of about £365 pa including surface and highway drainage charges.
