Received a LBC for a pcn in 2016
Requested information from the solicitors Gladstones
They've provided the pcn which was issued to an old address. Never received it so therefore no opportunity to go through the appeal process.
contravention was parking in a 'no stopping at any time zone' to be honest driver doesn't remember seeing any clear signs.
Is it worth the driver appealing? if so on what grounds other than they didn't receive it
Any help advise would be appreciated as I know they Gladstones are notorious for such.

That post covers court claims right from the LBA to the hearing - it will help you!

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

The ppcs monitor here and can use posts in your thread against you in court

What?? That is truly amazing. Are you looking at the right thread?

Post #2 of the NEWBIES thread offers comprehensive guidance from receiving a Letter of Claim right through the court process.

You will need to read that post a few more times.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

    ...Is it worth me appealing?
You are way too late to appeal. You are now at the stage just prior to formal legal proceedings, so you must respond accordingly. See NEWBIES sticky, post #2.
