I have just received a 'missed call' on my mobile from 020 3086 7024.
I tried a search of this number online but was unable to find anything out, so I called and asked them who they were. A woman with an Australian/ New Zealand accent claimed they were the National Insurance Department. When I attempted to question her further as to who she worked for she became very vague. I told her I believed her company to be a scam and she promptly hung up.
I have passed on this information to HMRC.
Please ALL, be warned.

Just leave out the spaces in the number when you search. See https://who-called.co.uk/Number/020308670240

Nothing HMRC can do - probably a scam centre on the other side of the world.
You have, however, now be added to a list of "live" numbers which will be sold to countless other scam centres and can look forward to receiving many more calls.0 -
Never call these numbers back. You don't know what it's going to cost for a start, and they now know your number is a good one to call as you are curious about who it was. Just ignore them and it's amazing how many fewer calls you will get from then on.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums.
