HSBC Invest Direct account

Anyone here using an HSBC Invest Direct account for their investments, if so does their website work? I can't get their Research Centre website to do anything, it keeps redirecting back to the base page, is this just a temporary glitch or does their website not actually work?
Their flat-fee of £42 per year works out a lot better than HL and I couldn't find any other cheap alternatives apart from iWeb which I didn't want to use for this particular chunk of investments.
It has taken nearly three months to finally get the appropriate current account opened properly so that I could open an Invest Direct account and now I find it doesn't work. I am getting a little worried about their seeming incompetence.

I don't use HSBC Invest Direct so can't comment, but what I can say is that its a general rule of thumb that you'd receive a much better level of service/usability if you use a investment only platform (such as HL, AJ Bell, Cavendish etc) rather than a bank's 'side show' investment platform such as HSBC's First Direct."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

But which of those allow investment in Lindsell Train Global Equity?george4064 wrote: »Decide for yourself: https://monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers/0 -
You could cross reference it with the link provided in post #11 of your other thread. With respect, there comes a point where you should try to figure this sort of thing out yourself

It will be a temporary glitch - there platform has been going for years so I'm sure its reliable - if old fashioned0 -

While not disagreeing in principle - if its largely a buy and hold portfolio it makes very little difference0
