Smells in utility room and toilet

Long shot but do you store potatoes in the cupboards? We get a similar damp musty smell in the summer from our potatoes in their basket when they start to deteriorate. Don't notice it at all at other times of the year.
We thought of that but no joy - had all the cupboards out.
The only possible thing we can now think of is the pipe that is fixed that goes out of the house. We have taken all pipes apart and cleaned and thats the only one that we cant take apart0
