in Credit cards
Helloooo, i currently have a virgin credit card, which i got about 2 years ago as an 'emergency card'. Which i was very good at keeping paid off, the odd £25 here and there from online purchases....
Now after a mad summer in Manchester i have £1000 on the card, the interest is about £26 a month which i hate paying.
Due to having a few things i have to sell and my student loan i can pay the whole amount off in January
What is the best card to get so i can transfer balances and stop paying interest? I am a student and some of them require you to be employed.

Hi, I think getting a student credit card may not be a good idea - these student credit cards do not typically offer 0% balance transfers.
Since you are good enough to have a virgin credit card, why not try other credit cards? First point of call would be your bank where you hold your current account. I also believe most wouldn't mind if you are a student, so long as you have income.0 -
Well it asked how much income i get. I dont get any, just my student loan officially. So it wouldnt let me continue the application.
Do i just put my student loan as income?0 -
There has been a discussion in this board before on whether should student loan count as income. The discussion remains inconclusive.
I would suggest you talk to the bank that you are trying to apply for. Also in case one branch says no, do discuss this with another branch - it is very common for agents to have variable interpretation of the rules.
Hope it helps!0
