In 2017 I started a thread about NPD & MBI who are linked to Gavin woodhouse, both companies put into administration by the courts last weekend. My thread contained lots of important information and evidence about these companies plus the contact info for administrators who will attempt to recover some of the many millions which have vanished!
My thread has been removed ....... WHY????

I note from this the news today:
    https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/jul/09/gavin-woodhouse-loses-control-of-fourth-firm-after-court-ruling

I express no personal opinion here, I simply quote the judge:
    Guardian wrote:
However, in court last week, Judge Sally Barber stated: “Ordinary members of the public have collectively invested millions of pounds into three companies. They have been led to believe that their investment monies were ringfenced and used only for particular projects. This was untrue.”

I’m following the news and in touch with administrators but I need to know why MSE removed my original thread on the savings and investments forum- where has all the info and content gone???

    Because they can?

Possibly under threat of legal action?

FWIW annonymous postings on an internet forum is not 'evidence'

I had communicated with several others in a similar position to myself who, I’m sure would have been more than happy to furnish the administrators with further evidence of the highly questionable practices of these two companies. We need all the evidence we can get!

The thread is still visible via Google's cache: search for "moneysavingexpert 5710736" (the thread number) and access the content via the down arrow to the right of each page's URL.

Not sure how long such cached copies remain in situ so copy/paste anything useful you want to keep, while you can....

Edit: looks like the most recent caching was on 20 June so stuff posted in the last three weeks won't be visible.

Check your emails and private messages for the last couple of weeks and see if there are any from MSE informing you that someone has made a Defamation Act request against your post.

Failing that - and if this thread is still up tomorrow - I suggest asking on the Site Feedback forum. Don't invest too much mental energy in the hope of a response.

The other possible explanation is that somebody logged into a bunch of sockpuppet MSE accounts and used them all to click the Spam button. This is another easy way to remove a thread that somebody doesn't like.

Probably a lawyer complaining about a bunch of posts in the thread. If there are too many they might have just deleted the whole thing for the easy life. I suggest you pick out all the key facts from the old one before the Google cache expireds and repost them. Stick to facts and the new post should be safe. It's a process a couple of other threads have been through. eg:

The thread appears to be back up after MSE went through their eccentric legal policy of deleting all the personal names (including those publicly available on Companies House).

The guy who claimed to be from Duff & Phelps and was posting without MSE permission to post on behalf of a company has also had his posts removed. Probably temporarily if he does satisfy MSE that he is who he says he is.

the administrators have been really helpful so if anyone else has suffered at the hands of these people they need to contact them, any information that they can get will inform the courts decisions in august
