I used a credit card, not an amazon card, i got an email today saying they had recieved the item and repayment had been made to my amazon account0

basically they have given me a credit for future purchases, i want the cash back0

They should make any refund back to the original payment method.0

it was a direct buy from amazon not a reseller, they did not dispute that the batterys were fake, they did not give me the option of recieving a "credit" for any further purchases or to have the money put back to where they got it from, my credit card.0

Ok everybody, i found the contact phone number online i phoned them and they apologised and said they will refund the money to the account that it came from. i asked them why it was so hard to get this information online but they said it wasn't,? I assume that most people in the same position as me just accept that the money has to be spent on amazon. its a scam to avoid paying you back the money they owe you, they make you jump through hoops to get the money back0

Been a wee while since I returned anything but pretty sure if doing via app it gives option to credit account or back to card. You sure you didn't select wrong option. Must have returned a fair few items over the years and not once has it been an account credit.0

I phoned them. I have also returned stuff in the past and had no problem. They have sorted it now, i got an email saying there was an "error" and the money will now be credited back to the original payment account. This is just a way of trying to get you to spend the "credit" on amazon0

I've also never heard of Amazon themselves selling counterfeit goods, only third parties...0
