UKPC ticket

A care worker received a parking ticket yesterday for parking in a disabled area forgetting to display the mobility parking badge. They were in a retail park (Boots) for approx 15mins.
They work as a carer who drives a disabled individual wheel chair users car.
They forgot to put the mobile badge/card on display because they had that morning swapped to the individuals new mobility car and had left the mobility badge/card in a plastic bag in the new cars boot when emptying the old car.
When they came out of Boots the ticket warden saw they were supporting a disabled wheel chair user and came over and apologized and gave them a card to contact his head office UKPC.
Its almost impossible to get through by phone so they completed the ukpc online appeals and sent a copy of the ticket wardens badge, which he allowed them to take a photograph of and the individual wheel users mobility card.
They have filled in the online appeals form, what do they do next?
UKPC haven't emailed them yet to say they've received the appeal.

Everyone is asked to read up on this in the Newbies faq thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread
Go there now to get an understanding of the game yoiu are now caught up in and how to deal with this, and what to do next!
Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving0 -
What a shame you didn't come here first. Never ever 'phone a parking scammer!
I'm guessing you blabbed about who was driving, which is a bad move.
What happened when you complained to the retail manager/landowner? That is always your first action.
Have you read the sticky thread for NEWBIES yet that tells you how to deal with parking scams? That should be your next move after your complaint then wait for the inevitable rejection of your initial appeal, and PoPLA code.
You have not received a fine, only an invoice from one of the biggest scammers in the country. You and your colleagues should read up on how to beat unfair scamvoices.
The blue badge scheme does not apply on private land, but the Equality Act 2010 does.
You should also complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Its almost impossible to get through by phone
Why should you 'phone them? These matter are extremely likely to end up in court and judges love paper trails.
BTW, PCNs are not fines, they are invoices for the alleged harm they suffered when, allegedly, you broke a contract.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
