What is the threshold to claim some sort of tax credits please?
My partner had taken maternity leave from her part time job, but now is still suffering from PND and does not want to put in a sick note, so had taken the last three months unpaid.
Still not sure if she will go back to work, but i was wondering with my income of £30,000 and three children, can i claim some sort of credits to help us toward mainly the kids.
Thanks

Tax credits no longer exist for new claims. All area are now a full Universal Credit area so it will be this you'll need to claim.valleyboy22 wrote: »What is the threshold to claim some sort of tax credits please?

Whether you can claim will depend on savings/capital and household income. Savings of £16,000 and over will mean you won't be able to claim.
You won't receive anything for your 3rd child if they were born after April 2017.
Using a benefits calculator will tell you if you'll be entitled to anything.
