Advance payment UC

Hey,
I have someone who has claimed UC.
The section where it says apply for an advance says they can't at present as their claim is still being reviewed.
When will they be able to apply for it online?
They are due the interview soon, would it be after that interview?

Advances are not always available to apply for online. Given latest news on the BBC, would not surprise me if online applications for advances was withdrawn.
It could be that the claimant has to attend the Job Centre first as there may need to be verification of information.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -

They are a relative.
I have heard recently of some of the advance issues, I just wondered when it was possible to apply for.

Just mention it at the interview or if you feel you cant wait until then try and ring them up and see if there is anything they can do for you.0

There will be something blocking the advance, normally ID or bank account verification.0
