RBS Rewards Switch DDs question

Hi all,

I have arranged an old account to be switched over to RBS rewards. The old account doesn't have any direct debits or standing orders, but I'll set up "new" ones as it's a reward account and I'll have my bills come out of that - (the account they come from now is not the one I switched from and I don't wish to close that account but happy to move some DDs over).

My question is, having read all the T&Cs, it doesn't appear that there is any criteria around the DDs, it's all about £1500 a month pay in, using card once a month, logging in in order to qualify for the switching incentive payment, so am I OK to switch from an old current account that has no DDs on it?

Thanks.

Why are you bellyaching over Direct Debits when the switch T&Cs don't even mention them?

    Yes

Use an account tht has no DD's linked it.

Why not open up another account that you can have 2 DD's coming out of it and transfer in x amount to get the monthly reward.

I have a question, my switch has just gone through, there is no information about the bonus. As long as I initiated the bank switch before the deadline, it should go through?

Now i need to transfer £1500 once I get access to online banking.

Direct debits for bills will cancel out the charges associated with the account and provide extra cash on top.

I just wanted to ensure these weren't needed as part of the switch service itself and could be done manually after opening.
