PPI on Bank of Scotland Mortgage

In the early 1990s I had a mortgage with Bank of Scotland and made payments using the same bank account I have with them now. I asked them to investigate the mortgage and they have told me they cannot find any details of it.
Is there anything I can do?
thanks
Richard

If neither you nor they have any details, there's nothing more you need to do.0

Okay, but doesn't a record of this mortgage exist somewhere? If the bank have missold something, shouldn't they repay?

Onus is on you to prove 1) existence 2) mis-sale
Under DPA/GDPR they are obliged to delete information no longer needed0 -
A record will only exist if you've kept one. Remember that the bank was required to destroy records in accordance with DPA. You don't have to comply with that.
If they have mis sold you something and there is evidence to support that, yes, they will pay.0 -

You are complaining about MPPI. Not the mortgage. Two separate things.
Who says the bank missold anything when it cannot be shown that you even had the product you are complaining about.0
