Hi hi!!!! I've not disappeared, promise!

Since we've bought the cottage, things got super busy at work and then I got struck down with acute bronchitis. So that was a real palaver! All better now, so all good on that front.

Managed Jan and Feb OPs of £1000 each. So still on track.

So, we decided to rip down the ugly Ikea wardrobes in the bedroom and get new ones made. We also decided to get new flooring done on all of the upstairs bit. Then we pulled at some wallpaper upstairs and some of the plaster came off. So we had to to have the bedroom replastered. The carpenter we hired to build the wardrobes and lay the floor decided to sack the job off mid flow, so we've only just now got a new carpenter to come and finish what the other guy started. This all started on the second week of Jan. Since then, everything from upstairs has been downstairs and none of the rooms are finished. It's hilarious!
So life is a little expensive at the moment and we're doing everything we can to save and be frugal even with such expense. But that's why I've been a little on the quiet side.

More updates as they happen! Thanks for checking in VF!

Oh boy, isn't life so weird. With the pandemic and current politics, I've been exhausted.
My entire industry shut down in mid-March. The level of my earnings over the past three years and current savings mean that I haven't been getting any SEISS or UC help. So we've been dipping into our savings to keep ourselves afloat. Think I managed an OP in March, but nothing since. We don't know when I'll be getting back to work, so we have to be frugal at this moment.
This is just a quick check in, hope everyone is well. We're keeping ourselves safe at the cottage, staying indoors and trying to keep ourselves occupied.
