We are plagued with nuisance calls of all types on our land line
At the moment the several times a day calls are from people with a heavy foreign accent who can hardly pronounce my name - they want to ask me questions but I refuse and so it goes on day after day - many times a day
We have BT call protect but when I block the last call they call again on a different number
Also we get the false BT calls saying that our I P address etc has been compromised or hacked or something similar
We also get the false Microsoft calls representing that something is wrong with our computer
We also et cold calls about loft insulation boilers oven cleaning PPI Pension advice etc etc
Can anybody recommend a solution ?

Yes. Get a BT 8500/8600 with Trucall. We've had ours for over 4 years now and not one of these types of call have got through.
Others on here have done the same.0 -
Thank you - I will take a look0

Firstly register with https://www.tpsonline.org.uk - it'll at least stop some cold calls.
It won't stop scammers though.0 -
Thanks prowla - I registered well over 2 years ago with TPS but despite that a lot of cold calls are getting through0

Second vote for Truecall.
Was getting up to 10 calls a day.
Had truecall for 3 years now & stopped em dead.

I have taken a look at various reviews which in the main are very good
The only downside seemed to be that some reviewers were not happy with the sound quality of the phones0 -

We have had a BT8500 for nearly three years now which replaced a Panasonic phone as we wanted the call blocking facilities we were being pestered with nuisance calls.
Being slightly deaf and wearing hearing aids I have found the sound on the BT phone poor and quite often have to have the phone on speaker a problem I never had with the Panasonic, however it is still worth having just for the call blocking we have never had any scam callers since having the BT phone.0 -
Thank you we have Panasonic phones at the moment but wish to try to eradicate the nuisance calls cold calls and scam calls0
