Hello all,
I have got a a backboiler in my chimney breast with a front gas fire in my living room. A few days after it was serviced early last month I noticed flying ants coming out it, some days more than others. There is also few normal ants crawling around the area.
Wonder what can I do to get rid of them. Do you think there is a nest inside or are they just coming from the chimney?
Thank you in advance for your comments/suggestions.

I'm a bit concerned about using chemicals as I have got a baby and a pet dog. Do you know how much would I be expecting to pay for a pest control competent person? Do they use other tools other than chemicals or poison?0 -
I got nippon ant killer (available on amazon), I have kids and dogs around where I put it down and no problem. It says it is safe and been using for several years around back door0

You'd pay handsomely for the 'ant killers' time, however DIY ant spray or powder isn't going to harm, you, your dog, your baby or anyone unless you start feeding it to them.*I'm a bit concerned about using chemicals as I have got a baby and a pet dog. * can harm aquatic life forms, so don't sprinkle/ spray your fish tanks.0
