Simba Price Match

Hi,
Hopefully someone can advise, and apologises in advance if I have posted in the incorrect forum.
I am wanting to purchase a Simba Hybrid king size mattress (RRP £749). The webiste offers a price match with 'all online and high street retailers' - no other cavaets are stated. I contacted Simba and have had a very lengthy exchange regarding a price match with Amazon (£499) and Bensons for Beds (£549).
Amazon - they could not price match as it is not an official retailer. They do not know who's selling it so can not price match - fine.
Bensons for Beds - the mattress is £599 and all orders over £500 gain an extra £50 discount so retail price is £549. They can not match the £549 figure as it is 'unique to Bensons for Beds'.
Isn't this the point of a price match? I have argued this point but got nowhere. I even suggested the price match was a waste of time, the comment back from Simba (in writing) was 'it probably is'.
Is my argument valid? Should they be price matching the £549 figure? Is there anything I can do?
Thank you

Depends on their T&C's in relation to the price match.
Great mattress though, got one myself.0 -
Thanks for responding (good to hear about the mattress!)
Thats the problem though, there are no T&C's. I tried searching the website - nothing.
The discussion I had with Simba was via WhatsApp. I asked them to direct me to the page which states about official retailers, etc - the response I received was a link to the price match page. The only condition was that it applied to new customers.0 -

Why not buy from Amazon?0

Buy it from one of the other two retailers then. What’s the problem?0

Amazon is 'not an official retailer'? Erm okay. Why are they selling it then?!
A lot of these 'price match' guarantees are worthless and should be illegal IMO. Ryanair were reprimanded a while ago when it turned out their exclusions meant it was effectively impossible for anyone to claim on their guarantee.
What's the problem with getting it from Amazon? Do you not get the 100 nights trial?
We've had the Simba for 12 months and think it's great.
We did haggle 10% off when we emailed to say we were looking at one of their competitors.0 -
They had quite a good May bank holiday offer on a few weeks ago, think the price was the same but they threw in 2 pillows as well.
Can you hold off till August .?
We got ours from John Lewis a couple weeks ago - can you try there ?0
