eBay and VAT on ending fees

Options
Hello:) , I wonder if someone could clarify if I am being correctly billed by eBay and put my mind at ease.

I have a small business account on ebay and a private ebay account.

Invoices on my private account show the final valuation fees for each item line by line at a rate of 10% of the selling price (VAT is built in to this)

Invoice on my business account show the final valuation fee for each line by line as a rate of more than 10% on each with VAT calculated on top on each line.

Why is built-in VAT on private account and 10%+VAT on business.

Is this correct? Thank you in advance :)
Whether we win or lose,
that we played at all was a winning decision. :D
2011 wins £12,292
2012 wins ...
Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A

It's a fundamental difference between all consumer and trade transactions/pricing, not just limited to eBay.

Consumers are expected to be provided with a simple, all inclusive price (so including VAT where appropriate)

Businesses are expected to have the expertise (or employ it, or buy it in, etc) to understand more complicated pricing structures and contracts. VAT is a tax added to the base price. Particularly for VAT registered businesses, all turnover is accounted excluding VAT. This is because input VAT is reclaimed, and output VAT handed over to HMRC.
Furthermore, the government may vary the VAT rate, and it is the VAT rate that applies at the appropriate tax point that should be included in the invoice.

I suggest you ask on the ebay board about their tariffs, if you cannot understand it from the ebay site.
