Is there an easy way to compare insurance policies (not prices)

Hi,

I'm looking to renew my building and contents insurance and have come across the same issue I always have when doing this; it is tedious to compare the more intricate details of the policies.

I know I can use the usual comparison sites to see the best price but what I also want to do is see which offers the best cover.

So, I was wondering, if there is a site/resource that allows you to compare the details of each policy (see screenshot for example of what I'm looking for).

I think the defaqto website (https://www.defaqto.com/star-ratings/home/home-insurance-contents/?id=53103) used to do this but don't any more (you can also see the star rating for each).

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

I used compare the market recently and that did have vertical columns showing various criteria e.g. building cover, contents cover amount, home emergency, legal etc.
It did not include every criteria I was interested in but it did have some of them.

Refreshing to see someone wanting to compare covers and not just solely price.

Many years ago, an old Broker once said to me "You pay a premium for insurance; half a premium for no insurance...."
    Reassuringly expensive
