Indigo Parking | Station car park | Post appeal | Six month expiration query

Hi there,

I am a returning visitor having 1. previously hijacked a thread, 2. changed my user name (so it's now not personally identifiable) 3. Read the newbie post and 4. searched for Indigo use cases similar to the one in question.

I have not found a use case that explicitly deals with the case in question.

So just to be 100% sure. Here is the situation:

PNC issued at local railway car parking for a car being parked outside a bay
Driver appealed to Indigo and was rejected (the driver having given his name and address)
Driver appealed to AS Appeals and was rejected
First ZZPS letter from QDR Solicitors received and ignored
Second ZZPS letter from QDR Solicitors received and ignored
' ...If the debt is not paid within 14 days our client may consider County Court Actions.

As 'some point' next month it will be 'about six months' since the original PCN was issued. Should the driver take any further action? Or just sit things out until the PCN expires ...

Kind regards and thanks in advance.

You can of course complain to your MP if you have not already done so. It can cost the scammers money to deal with it and in nine cases times out of ten these tickets are unenforceable.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Personally I wouldn't go poking a hornets nest.
