Does anyone know if this fee hike is still safely buried or has it somehow got through the government morass?

We are just starting the process of applying and it would be nice to know, as we could be looking at a major cost to be found before the sale of the house can go through.

May I gently suggest getting a mild wiggle on?

"The Non-Contentious Probate (Amendment) Rules 2019 (SI 2019/1057) amend SI 1987/2024 to provide for an online applications process from 1 October 2019 "
