They still do it! They basically pull the score and then tweak it according to their specific criteria. However, those criteria can be very different from one lender to another.
No. They don’t “pull the score” at all.
They pull the data and run it through their own comprehensive system to match you against a product and apr etc.0 -
Is it possible that some lenders contract out the credit check process to someone like Experian and use a score provided by them but taking into account the lenders own criteria? I could see how this could be cheaper than developing your own software.0

Look for a credit building credit card. The eligibility requirements are lower in terms of credit rating. But the interest rates are generally much higher and your credit limit will be quite low.
However, as long as you pay your balance in full every month then it will certainly help build up your credit score over time.
Simply applying for a regular card will often result in getting refused and a hit on your credit report.
