Uk cps possible fine on a road

Hi i work for a supermarket delivery company (not saying which) but i parked my van on what i thought was just a normal dead end road along the side of a building. There was a sign up on the wall but i assumed it to be about trespassing on the property. I parked up to nip to the toilet at a macdonalds across the road. When i came out (literally 5 min) there is a guy taking pictures of my van. I asked what he was doing and he just said "private land mate" i got back in my van and left. Next day i was passing so i looked at the.sa.e spot and re read the signs. They DO refer to parking however they ALSO state that they will administer a ticket to either the driver directly or stick on on the windscreen. This guy did nieer. What do i do? I have no ticket and i do not own the van as it is fleet managed (i would expect) BUT HE LEFT NO TICKET ON THE VAN WINDOWS. Please help as the sign talks of £100 fines then it goes up per day after 28days.

private road, so they can either issue a windscreen notice to the driver or a postal notice to the keeper , their choice
signage may sway a judge, in court, but until then there isnt much you can do
you will have to wait and see what the fleet manager does , seeing as there is no ticket issued to the driver on the day and none in your name by post either
if UKCPS issue the hirer or lessee (possibly you) with a postal notice, come back to this thread for more help
UKCPS have 6 years to try a court case in the county court
so you are now awaiting any developments
in future , be careful where the driver parks, as these companies are on most private roads, private land , and businesses like retail parks, supermarkets etc, just to catch the unwary, so ALWAYS read the signs and get out if there are any doubts at all, park on a public road instead, where parking is allowed , even if it means walking further0 -
Which parking firm appears on the signs?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Surly they're not doing what they say. I mean if i hadn't seen him taking these pictures i would t be any the wiser.
Are they not in breach of there own signage by not issuing the van or the driver with a ticket?0 -
No, because they make the rules up themselves on private land.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So it doesnt matter that they say they will issue a sticker with the fine? I mean how do you pay it if you dont know that u have one? There is no cide or anything to pay as they didnt attach the ticket to the van0

that is why you wait for either the lease (or hire) company to contact you, or for UKCPS to contact you, as you are the hirer or lessee so need to be named as such by the lease company, then you will receive a pcn in your own name at your own address
until then , there is nothing you can do0 -
IMHO They have to issue a ticket for the owner to pay the fine in the reduced period. The company are being deceptive if they issue the owner an increased fine after the period when no ticket was issued. The company owner should tell the company that no ticket was issued to the driver and they are trying to obtain money by deception when the letter turns up in their office.
I had this about 16 years ago, at first the company said they would see me in court until I told them to provide a copy of the ticket issued on the day, they didn't so I sent them an email containing just four words SEE YOU IN COURT they replied that on this occasion they will waive the fine as a gesture of goodwill. I emailed a one word reply "!!!!!!S"Someone please tell me what money is0
