That's a good price, the extra batteries are v.expensive.
Could you click & collect then try it out in store before you collect it? They may not be charged but you'll be able to see how it handles, if you don't like it don't 'collect' it!

  • My thoughts exactly. I did like it better than Dyson.
  • Thanks for your help ladies, I am looking at the shark from Curry's at £249, I did look at the more expensive one but changed my mind......I will clean up the Dyson and see if I can sell it, its only 3 years old.. I have had the hand held one a bit longer, it also needs to be stripped down and cleaned.

Which is why I settled for the v8. Spending the extra £300 wasn't every going to be regained through any enjoyment in hoovering :o

Currys have an offer of if200 for £249 with extra battery. Argos same price without extra battery. I'm so tempted.

The extra batteries are about £70 each so that's a steal - I can manage fine with just one battery, but there is the odd time I do a deep clean (with shark on boosted power) that an extra battery would really come in handy!

I have a Dyson V8 Animal. Very pleased with it so far, but we've only had it a week :)

We already had a really good Miele corded one but since injuring my shoulder I find it too awkward to use.

edit: The Dyson is the easiest we've ever had when it comes to cleaning the stairs.
