molley said:Im not surprised they arent bringing orders indoor in current circs and its the right decision.Iceland still use bags and Morrisons are reverting to using bags. Not sure about Sainsburys...That makes it easier to leave stuff at the door so thats what Tesco should do. I put a note on door" please leave bags at door-ring bell r knock- No need to wait".... totally contactless
I been told they now reversed the decision, seen common sense and tesco using bags again.
Morrisons were using bags anyway, it was only tesco and asda who stopped.

Sainsburys stopped using bags too...Im getting an order tomorrow as Ive been prioritised on a/c of my age and slots became available for tomorrow...one order a week is allowed. As far as I can tell they will be bagged and ive asked for the bags to be left at the door and the door bell rung and the driver leave although I think driver might phone me to check

Asda delivery came today, driver looked fuming, immediately asked me to pass him some bags so he could bag up the food, it was the only practical way.
So asda not even bagging during a virus outbreak.1 -
Another asda delivery, ASDA now have a notice on their website stating they will supply bags, so I thought ok they have now got some common sense.
Shopping came today loose in crates, driver dumped at door expecting to take one tin a time.
Passed him the bags, he had attitude, I said if you want to walk away, go ahead but I will report you, then he bagged but started moaning. I then told him, that asda said they will supply bags, maybe next time he shouldnt leave the store with unbagged food.
Asda are saving pennies by this nonsense, I dont get why they been so stubborn, even after their own website says they will bag the food.
It was harsh on him, but he is the public face of the company when he is the delivering the food so he gets the negative feedback which I hope he passes on to his boss.0 -
It was bad enough before the arrval of Covid .I have two s/mkt crates that I use but now I leave the crates at the door and have a notice on the door asking that any deliveries that wont fit the letter box be put at the door or in the crates and to ring the bell once and leave. With Tesco,Iceland and Sainsburys using bags again that works very well..I dont even open the door until the carrier has left.I dont understand why Asda are operating differently...I'd be contacting Asda and asking for an explanationLoop0

According to asda phone support, an email has sent to all stores and call centre stating there has been a number of complaints and that all customers for home delivery need to have bagged food.0
