Energy Club: tariff disappeared
Options
Hello,
I'm with Outfox the Market and thought I get an up to date comparison, but there's a bug. I'm on Zapp! September - the invoice says just "Zapp!" and that existed when I had my last comparison but now the Energy Club website doesn't have it anymore and shows "Gas Tariff: Tariff Not Found" and "Elec Tariff: Tariff Not Found" under "Current Tariffs Details".
Any ideas?
Thanks

No idea why MSE Cheap Energy Club doesn’t let you select your Zapp! September tariff but the Citizens Advice comparison site will allow you to select any one of the 6 variants of ‘Zapp! September’.
MSE CEC is not what it once was, IMHO;...missing tariffs,...and sometimes missing energy suppliers altogether;...cheap tariffs too! Not good for a site that lists ‘whole of market’ comparisons,...or purports to.
A current example of cheap tariffs being omitted by CEC is Symbio Energy,...they are electricity supply only. For my usage/post-code Symbio currently offer the UK’s cheapest 12-months fixed tariff with £0 exit fees;...however, Symbio are nowhere to be found on MSE’s CEC.

IIRC the OFTM Zapp September tariff was a variable tariff and withdrawn from all customers within 2-3 months of launch. i.e. before the end of November 2018,
I would suggest you contact your supplier and find out what tariff you are currently on.0 -
I'm with EDF Energy and can't really do a good price comparison because my current tariff isn't in the drop down box. It just offers me the standard tariff which is more than I'm paying.
Plus, I want to find out if I can save changing from pre-payment to direct debit but it will only show me pre-payment prices.Debt Free: 01/01/2020

Is EDF not about the only one of the big 6 who still swap meters for free? I am reasonably sure they used to be but sit to be corrected by wiser heads than mine. Is there nothing on your online account about this, Jami74?0 -

I agree about the CEC not seeming to be quite as good as it once was. I don't think they are especially quick at updating the finer details as they might be having said which, I have just checked the CEC to see if they have amended an SSE tariff I told them about and found an absolute peach of a tariff from Eon! :T Has to be when I'm one day away from my cooling off period ending for my switch to Bulb, doesn't it?
Now here's one for Money Moral Dilemma Mob: Can I find it in my heart to do my lovely referrer out of his £50 or should I hold my nerve, wait for the Bulb switch to go through and pray the Eon one does not disappear in the meantime?0 -

If you don't cancel, can you send me your referral code please.
I understand we will both benefit to the sum of £50. Loveley jubbly :money:
Or should I use the one from gsmlnx as you did? I will do if you cancel, but I would rather spread the love by keeping the chain going.0 -

Do what is best for you, I don't mind if you cancel with Bulb. As I said to you, I hadn't intended to offer a referral code to anyone.
Please look after your interests. Don't worry for a second about mine.0 -

You two are the most adorable, little fluff-kittens ever! (This being my highest accolade) :T:A:T:A
Miklios, please use gsmlnx's link so I may switch without guilt and, if either of you would like to send me a fiver, I promise to donate it to your charity of choice, so you might as well do it yourselves, or not, in the spirit of charity beginning at home.
Mwah! to you both.
ETA: Done it, emailing Bulb now. Thank you so much gsmlnx, for all your help and to you, Miklios, for taking the guilt out of switching; it was the only thing stopping me. It is so refreshing to find integrity is still alive and well, you two. Thanks again.0 -

Ha... I sort of remember something like that, but my online account says my tarrif is "Zapp! September", I can't find any email about the tariff being withdrawn (only price updates) and my bill says this:Zapp! Tariff ElectricityThe data on Citizen's Advice for this tarrif is out of date.
Unit rate 13.40p
Standing Charge 21.0000p
Tariff end date No end date
Exit fee No exit fee
Payment method Direct Debit
Zapp! Tariff Gas
Unit rate 3.58p
Standing Charge 25.7996p
Tariff end date No end date
Exit fee No exit fee
Payment method Direct Debit
I'll ask OTM for an update on the name, or try to match it up manually then.0
