Smart Save - ummm?

Following the introduction of Smart Save's savings accounts I tried to open one. It has proved impossible! Their so-called 'bank checks' reported that my verified bank account did not exist and therefore they couldn't proceed. They close all weekend but on the Monday I finally received a notification repeating that my bank account did not exist so they couldn't proceed. No amount of 'pardon, you've got it wrong' would change their minds.

Maybe others will be lucky, but if this is their procedure I would be very cautious with them. 0/5 for customer service.
