Parking Eye Fine, wrong digits.

My Partners mum paid for her £2.00 parking ticket back in Jan. She cant see very well and missed 2 digits, my partner didnt realise and was confused when she started receiving letters saying she hadn't paid. It took a while to find the original ticket but when we did, we sent a letter to parking eye with the proof of the parking ticket. Explained what had happened, we never heard anything back. Then started receiving letters from the court, so we sent the same letter we sent to parking eye to the court. They replied saying there was nothing they can do but we can challenge it by paying £220. So we now have the £197 or pay more to stop the charge? We then filled out the online appeal on parking eye, got a response saying the same thing, that because we took to long to send them proof she has to pay.
My partner has been off work for 4 years due to a severe medical condition she cannot afford to pay either. Were completely stuck and unsure what the hell we do now.

Does the keeper have court papers from the CCBC in Northampton ?
Or is it now a CCJ ?0 -
I have no idea where you are in the process, as your account is utterly confusing
1) DO you have a court claim form?
if YES
2) Have you already filed a defence with the court?
if YES or NOT
3) Do you already have a judgement?
£220 isnt a challenge - if you have lost (You have a judgement against you)_ then if you knew about teh claim, which it looks like you did, you have no chance of a set aside (which costs £255, not £220) and so you need to pay the judgement IF you are within 1 month.0 -
Can you dig out the paperwork. Tell us the title of the court "letter" and any numbers in bold at the top. Does one of them have "Claim Form" at the top and another say "Allocation Questionnaire"?
If not what EXACTLY do they say. No missing bits out or putting it in your own words please. Accuracy may be everything here.
I suspect this "letter" is actually a court form.0
