How do I get these pics my DD wants to share with me?
Instructions say to download the app from the app store but it isn't listed there.

There are a lot of depends.
If she has sent you a link just click on the link and it should open in a browser (Safari or Chrome?) and let you see the photos.
If that doesn't work we probably need more information about where they are stored and what the security permissions etc and how they will be shared.0 -

Sorry but that only allows me to see old pics from my very old phone not my Macbook. My DD sent an email link but it comes up with:
404. That’s an error.

They need to use the "Sharing" option in their Google Photos app or on a browser, and share the photos with you via your email address or via your Google Photos account if you have one. An email link to the URL does not always work especially if you have no Google account yourself or you are not logged into their account.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums.
