New Build Aerial sockets - Installing Sky Q TV

I can't get through to sky so thought I'd share here for advice.

We've just moved into a new build and they have installed a media plate on the opposite wall to the obvious place you'd put a TV. I want to get Sky Q, and want to know will the engineer drill a new aerial socket where I want the TV? Or will they simply hook up the satellite in the loft and leave us to sort the issue out.

They'll put the dish in the most suitable spot (pointing roughly SSE) and nearest wherever you need the cable entering. The media point may well not be connected to anything and they won't be going up in your loft.

I'm assuming a house , not a flat ?

Flat may be pre cabled with a single or dual feed cable .

No, an engineer won’t drill. A technician might!
