I have seen a second hand car i like but it has been on the lot for quite a while I'm a bit dubious about purchasing it and just wondered if anyone might know of reasons as to why it hasn't yet sold? This may be a needle in a haystack question I know, but any advice would be helpful

Too expensive, theres something wrong, poor spec or colour would be the main ones.

It hasn't sold because there is no demand for the car at the price it is being advertised at.

Cars can stay at dealers for months. You've probably only noticed this one because it interests you, I bet there are others that have been there as long.

I bought a ceed that had been on the forecourt for so long that the brakes where seized. The dealer fixed it up and it went on to serve me well for many years.

Probably just overpriced but I'm guessing you've not done enough research to realise that... so probably waiting for someone naive and gullible enough to come along and overpay for it.
