Letter from DRP Ltd regarding PCN for leased vehicle (wrong address)

To cut a long story short, I've read all the threads and googled all night, but would be grateful for some advice.

So we lease a car with the car company the registered owners. *someone* driving the car overstayed in a 3hr free car park (not by much) and a PCN was issued by Highview Parking Ltd. I've only just found out that this was sent to the leasing company five days later, who provided details of the leasee, was then sent reminders etc after this wasn't paid due to incorrect contact details etc.

We received a letter from DRP Ltd yesterday which was the first we heard of this. Turns out, as we moved last year, the leasing company provided our incorrect address etc. The letter says we have tracing service etc to find out.

I am going to ignore the letter, as advised by people on here, any ideas what my appeal (which would be rejected anyway) or ways forward.

The charge Highview Parking Ltd are asking on their website is £140 for a 18 minute overstay.... DRP asking for £145.

Any suggestions?

The newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum has specific advice on lease or hire car keepers

You do need to inform the PPC of your correct address

Keep a copy of the letter, and get a certificate of posting from the post office when sending it

Ignore drp. See #4 in the FAQ for advice on the debt collectors stage you are now in

I know it does, I have read it all. My situation is different as the address was incorrect so no notices etc.

I have not informed the PPC of my current address, I have informed my leasing company. DRP used a tracing website to find who the lease-ee is.

You need to inform the PPC as advised

Otherwise you risk getting a default ccj against you that you know nothing about
