Everyone is asked to read up on this in the newbies faq thread near the top of the forum before starting a new thread
Go there now to get an understanding of how to deal with a court claim
See post # 2 in that thread which covers court claims comprehensively
Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving. You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving
If you have used your real name as your forum name then you need to ask MSE to change it to something truly anonymous (Are your initials GE??)
The ppcs monitor here and can use posts in your thread against you
You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving
In the unlikely event you were to lose in court over a one digit error then although you get a CCJ it is removed as soon as you pay it off (as long as you do pay it off in full within a month of the judgement), so no worries there!0 -
What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?
Did it come from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton, or from somewhere else?0 -
do the AOS online first
then email a SAR to the DPO at PPS with a scan or pic of the V5C or N1 form atatched as proof of id
insist on all the docs like the NTK, pics , data and the PDT machine printout with this different VRM showing (the incorrect one) and all others redacted due to GDPR protection
post the ISSUE DATE below0 -
I don’t have the car no more :-(0
-
but you DO have the N1 claim form from Northampton CCBC
so scan it and add it to your email SAR as proof of who you are0 -
Can’t I just use the defence option and right down that I am supplying a ticket as evidence that parking was paid. Does it really need fancy legal terminology. Fact is the car was parked and there is photographic evidence of a purchased ticket for that day and within time periods permitted
Is writing to their DPO and requesting all of it necessary (no one has actually done anything wrong here apart from a potential incorrect digit and payment was made)0 -
Why would you like to know issue date and where it came from?0

Why would you not want to see all the evidence the PPC have against you?garethuk1981 wrote: »(no one has actually done anything wrong here apart from a potential incorrect digit and payment was made)
Do you really think the Judge would see your side with that blase attitude? Why would you want to go court with one bullet, when an entire arsenal is available to kill this claim?garethuk1981 wrote: »Why would you like to know issue date and where it came from?
So you can be told the deadline your defence needs to be submitted and how to submit it.garethuk1981 wrote: »Can’t I just use the defence option and right down that I am supplying a ticket as evidence that parking was paid. Does it really need fancy legal terminology.
The "fancy legal terminology" is the language of the court, and it is your best chance of conveying to the Judge what rules have been broken by the PPC/BW Legal and why the case should be thrown out.
Ultimately, it sounds as if you cannot be bothered, which is fair enough - it's a nuisance for everyone. But, what you cannot do is bury your head in the sand and hope the Judge sees your side without putting in any effort. It is a serious process, and it is about time you treated it as such.
Good luck.0 -
