Why? To lower the value of the property?

Reconsider that feeling of dread. I think it could be relabelled as excitement! The physical feelings associated, aren't actually too different.

I agree with warby. Just use those first viewings as an opportunity to just get a feel for the house, it's outlook and it's surroundings.

The second viewing can be for more practical things. At that point, you can take more of a checklist and won't look weird using it, either.

As a FTB, you'd be putting too much pressure on yourself to take everything in on a relatively short first viewing. Just enjoy the first ones.

    Agree with this.

My OH and I got together in our 40s and were looking to buy a house together. We decided on Milton Keynes as we couldn’t afford to stay in London and there was tons of work and my brother lived reasonably close. It was a cash purchase and there were loads of properties in our price range :D. Oh how things have changed.

We were excited and saw it as a great adventure. We found a house to do up and it was “silly money”. A few years later we were house hunting again and wanted a bungalow and viewed over 50 properties  but we eventually found “the one” and only sold it when we moved 200 miles away.

So look on it as your great adventure and good luck with your house hunting

No point wasting everyone's time if the House or street isn't as nice as the photos and the 5 year old street view, or the simply isn't a single space for visitors to park in the evening.
