Faulty oxygen sensor
Options
So our Nissan Micra’s 1.2 08 plate car has had the engine light go on several time, each time the mechanic turning it off as he said it wasn’t worth fixing. However, we’ve noticed the fuel goes super quickly and I’m thinking it may due to the oxygen sensor. When the mechanic diagnosed it with the machine, he said it was a a faulty oxygen sensor which showed up as high bank 1 sensor 2. I’ve gone to a mechanic which can fit it for me for £30 and I supply the part. I went on euro car parts and I saw several different ones, ranging from £26 to £160. I have attached a picture of the one I have bought, can someone advise me if I have bought the right one or if it’s a different one?

I couldn’t upload a picture so here’s the link

Sensor 2 will be the post-cat sensor, which tells the ECU that the cat's working - not the pre-cat, which affects the fuelling.
Just get the mechanic to supply and fit - not only is it a single-point-of-shouting if it dies again in short order, but if the wrong one arrives, he can get a replacement out in an hour or two on the factor's van, rather than you having to chase about.0 -
IT might not be the sensor, could be the cat below standard efficiency (code p0420). What was the actual code?0

The code is P01380

My 2005 Jazz has the same fault ... happened just after it's last MOT last September. I can't see any effect on it's running or fuel consumption but will it fail its next MOT automatically or only if emissions are too high?0
