Incorrect parking fee charge

I parked in a car park every Saturday for many weeks and incurred charges of £12 or £18 each week. On tipping out receipts recently, I noticed a receipt for £612 which I didn't recognise. In fact its for parking at this place. On this occasion the fee should have been £12 and I paid by card. I think I read the card reader view 6 as a £; but either way I only noticed it a few weeks later. I've reached out to the car parking company who told me to email them the details and followed their appeals process (give them 35 days). After 3 chase emails - no response @ 70 days later. Whilst I accept my stupidity; does anyone have any ideas on how I can escalate this (is there a known body, solicitor - do I even have a case!)?

So to be clear this is a miskeying of a credit/debit card reader?
If so what has the parking companies "appeal process" got to do with this, it's not a PCN?
Surely a call to the card company should be the next port of call?0
