I had someone drive into me after they pulled out of a side road, hurting me and my partner and damaging my car.  Hedgehog dealt with it all for me and I was in a new car two weeks later (mine was destroyed it turned out!).  I'm very happy with their service, worked out fine for me, I've been with them for 2 years and I guess will renew again.

Sadly my experience with them has been very different. 
My car was hit by someone over 2  months ago. 
Hedghog were very difficult to get held of, 6 failed calls on the day of the accident, but I was being bombarded by a claims management firm who I refused to deal with. I eventually had to email Hedghog telling them of the trouble I had trying to phone and informing them that this claims management company were bombarding me. They apologised for the phone problems but confirmed that RTA were acting on their behalf.
Weeks passed by with no updates until I phoned for an update one day (40 minutes on hold as usual) and I was told that they had closed the file on the claim because I had appointed a claims company! 
70 days later my car is still awaiting repair , the MOT was due last week so I started getting warning letters from Hedghog saying my policy would be cancelled if the MOT is not done in time.
I pointed out I do not know where my car is, I have not seen it for over 2 months so how am I supposed to get an MOT done. 
They said it was an automatic email and that a note has been put on the file. 
A week later I get a cancellation notice. 
The saga continues, I would never ever consider using Hedghog again. Look at their recent reviews on Trust pilot a lot of people are having similar problems.
