Which is spectacularly fantastic and inconsiderate if stopped at a junction/traffic lights, at night and affecting the night vision of the driver behind.:cool:0 -

All the lhd cars that I've driven have the same pedal arrangement as do rhd ones (thankfully). Or was it just a jokey comment?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

My Merc only has a foot-operated parking brake and it's a manual gearbox. Most of the time I only use it at the end of the journey unless there is a steep hill that I have to stop/start on as its rather clumsy to use while driving. That does mean I have to use the footbrake to hold the car on any incline and do a quick foot change from brake to accelerator to pull away uphill; apologies to those behind that object to brake lights.0

Parking brake only needed to prevent roll back ie on a hill start. Handbrake/neutral every time you stop is not necessary unless for a long time and for eco reasons.
If however there is a loss on control because the parking brake was not used, then depending on the severity of that lack of control would depend on the mark given.
However as a DE I’d be more worried about my lack of being able to stop the vehicle if I needed to.
Having said that you only need head restraints, L plates and a mirror.....Debt free January 2019.
Now working on the mortgage! :beer:0
