TO give frustration to both buyers and vendors and force them to use their in house rip off services"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

As per above not all landlords want to deal with their properties/tenants which is why to have an agent. it's irrelevant whether it is a company or individual (and more reason to it for a portfolio LL to have an agent as I doubt he would be interested in dealing with anything)0

I always wondered why we have Tesco when I could just buy my crispy pancakes straight from birds eye.0

Just because its a Ltd company - that could just be one person who owns the house but has registered themselves as an Ltd company. Useful as it protect there personal property if for instance they defaulted on the mortgage of the rented property.0

ALL landlords are businesses, whether they're limited companies or sole traders, whether they want to admit it to themselves or pretend they aren't.Well my landlord is a business not an individual which is why I'm asking
I use an agency for finding tenants. For a relatively small fee, they advertise, they conduct viewings, they vet tenants, and they conduct the check-in and protect the deposit. Bargain.0 -
why do we have travel agents, supermarkets, banks, restaurants etc0
