Switching to Octopus Energy - Or not as it turns out

Hi all
I recently decided to switch my gas and electricity from SSE Hydro to Octopus with the energy club comparison thingy estimating an annual saving of over £300 - result.
All was in place for the switch to take place this week originally, but as Octopus require a month's advance payment on your bills, I opted to delay the switch until later in the month (pay-day).
I got all the confirmation blurb from Octopus, and letters from SSE saying they were terribly sorry to see me go etc (reduce your prices then!).
BUT - I got letters today from SSE out of the blue telling me that the energy company I had switched to had contacted them to say that they cannot switch my gas or electricity. No contact from Octopus at all saying there was any problem whatsoever, and from my perspective, they had been all set up to switch today initially.
Just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues, and also, does anyone know how you provide feedback on suppliers on the comparison website? I've seen a few notes from MSE against some companies with 'be aware, we're getting feedback for this supplier that such and such is an issue...' etc, but I can't find any way to give MSE my feedback on what's happened to me.
Seems utterly bizarre that they can't switch, it's not like they have to put new gas pipes in or run a huge extension cable to my house or anything!
Any ideas??

What reason did Octopus give as to why you haven’t switched to them?0

Best thing is to email them at hello@octopus.energy
Like most companies O.E takes most notice of what is posted on its facebook page
I delayed switch by taking option to choose different switch date, went through fine0
