Halifax 100 pound offer swindle

has anybody else been told by halifax they are not entitled to the 100 pounds offered when they first opened a high interest current account? I have been ringing them for months to find out when i would get the money, - i was told after two lots of my wages had gone in, then was told it was after three lots of wages had gone in, then told it was a month after the third lot of wages went in - and now have heard that i am not entitled to it as i didn't get the forms back in time. I don't see anywhere that they ever refered to a date i had to have them in by, it's like they are making the rules as they go along

Suspect that's your mistake - not theirs? The early T&Cs were extrapolated here .... and couldn't be clearer as regards applicable dates. You should try reading stuff, before using words such as 'swindle' :-

I really don't know why people do this.

If the T&C's state you get your money on x date, then on x date +1 you make an official complaint.
    Dear Sirs,

    Account No: xxxxxxxx
    Roll No: x/xxxxxx/xx

I opened the above account on xx/xx/xx and, having fully complied with the terms and conditions of your 'switchers' offer, my £100 incentive payment was due on xx/xx/xx.

As this date has now passed, and I haven't received the payment, please would you investigate my complaint.

I look forward to an early resolution.

    Yours faithfully
    xxxxxxx xxxxxx
