Executor of a will that may have a ppi claim

Hi all,
I’ve had a look through some of the threads but can’t see anything similar so apologies if this is a repetitive question.
My brother and I are executors of our late aunts will. She was ‘end of line’ as our uncle died some years ago. The estate is to be split 50/50 between the two of us.
Today I received a letter from the solicitors dealing with the will. They advise us that we may be able to claim for mis-sold ppi on our aunts bank accounts even though she has died and the accounts have been closed and the money split between us.
They advised they would take a fee if we want them to investigate and also a management firm would take a cut also.
Therefore my question is - can I/we make a claim using the letters/templates etc on this site?
Thanks for reading!

Simply make a complaint direct to the banks concerned. You don't need anyone else to use the free-complaint process, just do it yourself.0

Do/did bank accounts have PPI?0 -
I think the solicitor is looking for some jam to go with the bread and butter as they will be wanting to get paid for enquiring, whether there was PPI or not.0
-
And then using a claims company to manufacture reasons for the complaint. You really couldn’t make it up.0

I'm happy to provide a consulting role to make sure the solicitors and claims company do their job for 20% (plus VAT).
You can't be too careful.0 -
No need to involve a managemenr firm nor your solicitor, its easy to do. Fill the firm in and send it.0

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated.0
