Eon getting rid of some tariffs

I have just been informed by Eon that they will be getting rid of some of their tariffs later this year which will effect one of my rentals. The change gives my tenants three options with what tariffs remain which means a 40% increase in price at the very least going on past usage.

Anyone heard the same and what are you doing about it?

    Which tariffs are these, I assume they are electric only complex metering and not standard E10 which could be supported by other suppliers. What type of heating is in the property ? If storage heaters then probably best getting an E7 meter installed.

    Yes, there has been quite a bit of discussion about Eon ending this type of legacy tariff on this board over the last 2-3 years.
    Try the search function.

    One of the options is that you can have a meter that can be used by the whole of market. If that still results in a 40% increase in the price of energy, then that indicates what a brilliant deal you have had for the last few years.
    Mind you, as it's the tenants that appear to pay the bills, it is presumably them that have been benefitting, and presumably them that will suffer any oncost in energy due to the change of metering and tariff.

    But you need to decide what is best as a change of metering may mean you need to change/update the heating in the property.
    Eon have a specialist team that are dealing with this.
