Fax modem - Help!

I need to set up my printer/scanner/fax and its telling me that I need a fax modem. Not sure what to buy though? I have a Lexmark 3500-4500 series and a broadband connection.
Any help greatly appreciated!

You can't send faxes over broadband which is why it's telling you that you need a fax/modem e.g. here. Most dial-up modems can send faxes.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Thanks for that. I suspected that I needed a modem. So if I buy one such as the one you have recommended above, should that be all I need. Are they hard to set up?0 -
What model printer is this? To use it as a fax machine why can't you plug it into a telephone line instead of the computer.0

Not a recommendation, just an example. If you shop around you should be able to pick one up for half that price but obviously you will need to consider P&P e.g. here.
Should be easy to install and set-up. This link explains how to install a network card but the method is the same when installing a modem.:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
