Backdating capital changes

Hi,
How far back can payments be changed? I ask as Maternity Allowance ended in mid May but according to UC it ended the end of the month. I thought they'd automatically know but now see UC was underpaid at the end of May. As that months already paid can the money still be sent or is it too late?
Also, the same with capital and savings. Savings have been going fast and are much less than when claimed (though still above £6k). If notified now does it only impact most recent month or others before as can show it was below what they thought on those months.
And in future, it will keep dropping every month,. Do I have to go in each month to show them or can it be done online by sending statements?
Thanks

Notification of reduction in capital will generally only be applied from the date the information is provided.
I would have expected the UC system to flag the fact that MA had ceased and adjust payment accordingly.0
