ESA form received a day late

Hi I’ve tried to ring the place where my form was sent to but after 39 minutes listening to Vivaldi I gave up.
My esa form was due in on Friday 28th, I sent it Wednesday 26th first class recorded. They signed for it Monday 1st July. How likely are they to use this against me and stop the benefit? It’s 1 day but I know they need little excuse to stop paying!
My next payment is due this Friday and I’m really worried. I guess I should’ve given more time for the postal system but you’d think that 1st class recorded would give plenty of time!

As long as it is received before they make their decision they should not disallow due to it being a day late. Yes, its supposed to be in by a certain date, but its the height of stupidity if they disallow if they know by the time they are making the decision that you have returned the form, not just that, but it was sent in time to make for the deadline.

I would ring again to make sure it's been received. Signed for delivery doesn't mean anything. It just means that someone from Royal Mail has signed for it but it could be anywhere. It's not classed as arriving until it's been added to the computer, which can take a week at least.
