iPhone 4s to Motorola G7 info transfer ... How please?!

Hello. Mobile phones ...
We have Motorola G7’s.

My daughter has an old iPhone 4s that will need the number and SIM card moving over to her Motorola as well as all the contacts and texts messages and WhatsApp etc.

Please can anyone tell us how to do this?!
I don’t know where to start and I don’t want to accidentally loose all her info!

Thank you!

Oh! That doesn’t look to hard!
Even I might be able to manage that!

So, in short, I backup to Drive, take out the sim from the old iPhone and put it into the Motorola, sign in to Google and it downloads it itself?
    Is that what happens?

I mentions Contacts, Photos and Calendar.
Will it transfer the text messages?

It can’t be that simple surely?

It doesnt mention texts so would say no it wont.

Yes download Google drive and back up, once you've put the sim into the new phone, sign in with the Google sign in details you created earlier then download the Google Drive app once phone is signed in and download the backup.

There'll be loads of apps that will backup/restore SMS messages. Check on Play and the Appstore for such apps and look for one that exists on both. (Different apps will probably still work, but using the same app is likely to give a better chance of compatibility between Apple and Google).

Install on old phone and run the utility to backup to an online location (e.g. Google Drive) or a local PC (with the phone connected to it); Install on new phone and run the utility to restore the messages.

You'll loose all your Whatsapp messages - I've recently had the same problem switching wife from iPhone 5 to HTC One. Only way to "save" the Whatsapp messages is to use Whatsapp one contact at a time to export the chat to email - it arrives as a zip file, when you unzip it's a text file with crappy formatting and each photo or video from the chat as a separate file.

    Try this;

iOS ..............To backup to Google Drive, launch WhatsApp and the tap the menu icon on the top right side of the screen. From there, select Settings followed by Chats and then Chat backup.

Or do it the easy way by using the online backup facility in Whatsapp and restore from the backup on the new phone.

To transfer text messages use SMS Backup & Restore, should be available on both ios and android.

I like that app but it’s not available for iOS unfortunately!
